Does quality have to be expensive because prices in Germany are not competitive?
Not at all!
As a company in Germany, we certainly have to pay significantly more taxes than companies abroad.
Many “private commercial operators” save on taxes, which naturally lowers their prices.
But that doesn't have to be the case!

Amplifier module for an LDMOS

W6PQL does not offer protection for the LDMOS against voltage spikes or overvoltage. DX World-e has protection against voltage spikes from the transceiver. Neither provider offers protection for the gates against overvoltage, nor do they offer temperature measurement directly next to the LDMOS, which is so important. Furthermore, neither provider offers the option of flexibly adjusting the input power to your transceiver using a flexible PI attenuator.
The BIAS voltage is implemented very simply by both suppliers.
DP-AMP relies on the proven control circuit from the DP-AMP HVF1k2.
This has the advantage that it is completely freely adjustable and can be precisely adjusted to each LDMOS.

Here too, DP-AMP stands up to comparison.
No other provider has implemented RX/TX switching, which incurs additional costs.
The filters at DP-AMP go up to 70 MHz and also include the new or expected bands.
This makes a DP-AMP LPF future-proof!

Looking at the figures objectively, DP-AMP is certainly able to compete on price.
But if you take a closer look at the quality and features, it quickly becomes clear that DP-AMP has a clear advantage.

How about a look at the enclosure?
Gladly, because the enclosure is a good example of how subjective the assessment of price can be.
If you take the front and back panels and configure them with Schaeffer's Front Panel Designer, you will find that the price for the two panels alone is €329 including VAT.
Now all you need is the top, bottom, and side panels, which of course also have holes and milled ventilation slots.
Given the high quality, we can definitely say that our price is reasonable.
